Microsoft’s line of Surface products has proven popular despite their expensive nature, and are an elegant option for creatives, artists, and regular users alike.
Unfortunately, repairability was not Microsoft’s priority early on, and many of the earlier Surface devices are unrepairable. Data can be recovered with some effort, but they’re almost impossible to disassemble without breaking. Thankfully, the current-generation Surface Laptop at least is much improved in this department. The Surface Pro tablet series is still pretty rough in terms of repairability.
